Year in Review

Insights by Peter Watson.

Our review of 2022 is going to be solely from a business perspective. We are all too well aware of the other events that have happened but I am delighted to say that 2022 has been another strong year for Prism.

We have enjoyed working with a range of SME owners, on both acquisitions and sales, and have continued to be inspired by the energy and enthusiasm that they bring to business. We were particularly pleased to help Richard Webb at MarineGuard make their first acquisition in the technology space – acquiring a Person on Board (POB) software business in Scotland. Richard has built a great business operating in the superyacht security market and this acquisition brings an additional blend of skills, as well as providing a new and expanding market in which to excel.

We also worked on our seventh acquisition for Milbank Group – who are building a diversified group of businesses with a focus on people and customer service. The group goes from strength to strength.

You can see these and many of our other completed deals here.

We are still very busy and hope to complete another couple of deals before the Christmas bells toll! We also have a strong pipeline going into 2023 and remain cautiously confident about the prospects for the coming year.

At this time of year you may well be weighing up your options for the future. If so, do arrange to speak with me or Robert. We will act as a sounding board for you and hopefully ask some questions that will help make your own choices clearer. Find out more about our 1-to-1 Chat sessions or you can simply reply to this email.

If you are thinking about selling your business within the next three years, please consider joining our live virtual seminar in February. This morning seminar will help you understand more about the sale process, how businesses are valued and ways you can add value to your business.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Christmas and a successful New Year, from all of us at Prism.
